BLUE MARLIN ‘is one of the first facilities accommodation in Kenya, build in 1913 when explorers, hunters, traders, landed on the coast and were looking for a base for their hobbies, jobs and excursions. During the time it has hosted great film characters and writers in search of inspiration.
After a restructuring in the 1960s, the BLUE MARLIN had a great period until the 1986s, a destination for European tourism and especially from Germany that even opened its very rich consulate within the BM. All this continued until the waves of the ocean washed over the last rooms of the structure. In 1992 it was used by American troops as a base for the Somalia conflict. The dark period continued until 2007 when a group of Italian business man took it over and began the restructuring
